Hey,

Welcome to a new edition of the InTheMarket newsletter! There are exciting news and developments in the world of DeFiChain. Let's get started right away!

JellyVerse AMA - A Recap

The JellyVerse team shared exciting updates and answered questions from the community in an insightful AMA session. Let's dive into the highlights:

  • The company behind the project: Jellylabs is the driving force behind JellyVerse's DAO. A dedicated team is doing everything they can to make the vision a reality.

  • Advancement in Smart Contracts: The JellyContracts that control token issuance and determine minting rights are already operational! However, the contracts for JellySwap and JellyStake are still being worked on. So we should keep our eyes open for further updates.

  • Community in focus: One of the main goals is to intensively involve the community. The plan is to reward those who produce content and drive the project forward, possibly through JLY tokens. Organic reach is a priority.

  • New features on DEX: Users will be able to create their own pools on JellySwap and include their own token in them - a real game-changer!

  • Collaborations: There are already other projects collaborating with JellyVerse. Excitement is building as we are all excited to see who these projects are.

  • Support for DeFiChain: The goal is to support DeFiChain as much as possible. A future $dusd burn event? Who knows...

  • DeFi Index on JellySwap: There is consideration of introducing a DeFi Index on JellySwap that reflects the DeFi industry. Ideally, this would include liquid, clocked assets.

Stay tuned, as the JellyVerse project seems to promise many exciting developments and innovations!

VanillaFarm

In the ever-growing DeFi ecosystem, VanillaLabs is ready to stand out with some exciting updates. Here's what you should know about VanillaFarm:

What is VanillaFarm?

VanillaLabs is working diligently to bring you closer to VanillaFarm, an exciting way to increase your liquidity. Even though the exact APY number has not been determined yet, you can expect an attractive APY especially in the beginning. So keep your eyes open and stay tuned for more info as it comes out. The first steps with VanillaFarm are being taken on #testnet - exciting times ahead!

The VAN token

VanillaLabs has its own token called VAN. It is important to understand that while this token can be seen as a kind of stake in the dApp, it is not directly equivalent to shares and does not give you any claim to the company behind it.

Collaborate and look to the future

VanillaFarm focuses on inclusivity. That means you get to decide which tokens you want to add. It will be interesting to see what joint projects or ideas might come out of this.

VanillaLabs definitely has a lot planned. Look forward to exciting developments in the coming time!

What is DST and how does DeFiMetaChain benefit from it?

Decentralized Finance (DeFi) has made significant headway with asset tokenization, particularly with the introduction of standards such as DST - DeFi Standard Token. Here is a simplified overview of how DeFiMetaChain (DMC) benefits from DST, especially in terms of EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatibility.

What is DST?

DST stands for DeFi Standard Token, a token standard introduced by DeFiChain to enable tokenization of assets similar to ERC20 on Ethereum.

Advantages of DST for DMC:

  • EVM compatibility: because DMC is EVM compatible, developers and users can take advantage of tokenization via DST while using Ethereum's proven tools and standards.

  • Cross-chain mechanisms: DeFiChain, and consequently DMC, can integrate external tokens, enabling trading across different cryptoassets.

  • Standardization: easier and more efficient integration of assets into DMC thanks to the standardized token model.

Types of DST and their benefits for DMC:

  1. DeFi Custom Token (DCT):

    • Individually designed tokens by users to represent different projects or smart contracts within DMC.

    • This enables a wide range of applications and projects to be built on the DeFiMetaChain.

  2. DeFi Asset Token (DAT):

    • Decentralized secured tokens representing crypto assets outside DMC, e.g. DBTC or DETH.

    • Expands DMC's ecosystem by enabling the integration of various external assets.

Conclusion:

DST enables DeFiMetaChain (DMC) to provide a flexible and secure model of tokenization that has the potential to integrate a wide range of projects and assets. EVM compatibility makes it easier for developers to create and scale their projects on DMC, strengthening the entire ecosystem.
