Hey,

Welcome to a new edition of the InTheMarket newsletter! There are exciting news and developments in the world of DeFiChain. Let's get started right away!

DMC Dashboard

It is truly amazing how many projects are built on the DeFiMetaChain (DMC). The fact that more and more projects are being developed on the DMC speaks to its robustness, flexibility and appeal.

But how can we keep track of all these projects? That's where DZ's DMC Dashboard comes in, a centralized tool that provides a comprehensive overview of all projects built on the DMC. The dashboard shows various parameters, such as the project name, website, development status and more. Here is the link to it.

Why is the dashboard so important? Well, it helps us better understand the entire DMC community and track how it's growing. With each new project that shows up on the dashboard, the DMC gains momentum.

But it's not just about what's happening right now. It's also about what might happen in the future. Each new project on the dashboard could be the next "big thing" in the DeFi world. That also means more users, more transactions, and ultimately more demand for the DMC (and therefore DFI).

That means the dashboard could help us better capture the potential value of DMC. It could be an early indicator of future price movements. The more projects that build on the DMC, the greater the potential for increased demand for DMC and thus a potential price increase.

This exciting development process is open to everyone in the community. If you think a project is missing from the dashboard, feel free to comment and bring it up for discussion. This is how we all contribute to the growth and success of DMC.

Are you ready to discover the projects on the DMC? Then take a look at the dashboard and learn about the different DMC projects

DeFiChain architecture change: integration of EVM and UTXO

DeFiChain is about to undergo a major technical upgrade, with the integration of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). But what does this actually mean?

The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) is a central component of the Ethereum network. It enables the execution of smart contracts and thus the creation of decentralized applications. With the integration of the EVM into the DeFiChain, the range of DeFiChain's capabilities expands significantly.

The image is from the following website: https://blog.defichain.com/defichains-new-architecture/

An important aspect of this integration is the introduction of a new transaction type called xVM. This allows DeFiChain to execute EVM transactions without compromising the security features of the Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) model. The UTXO model is a method for representing transactions in the blockchain that has its roots in the Bitcoin network and is known for its security features. The xVM transaction is a solution that allows the benefits of both systems to be leveraged.

In addition to the EVM integration, DeFiChain will also introduce synthetic blocks. These will enable compatibility with existing Ethereum tools such as MetaMask. MetaMask is a widely used wallet for Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens that is also available as a browser extension. The introduction of synthetic blocks is a significant step that will allow the benefits of EVM to be integrated into the DeFiChain ecosystem.

With EVM integration, the DeFiChain ecosystem will be divided into three main areas: UTXO, token systems, and EVM accounts. To ensure a seamless flow between these domains, a special transaction type called Transfer Domain Transaction (TX) will be introduced. This allows the transfer of assets between the different domains.

Finally, the DeFiChain Virtual Machine (DVM), which acts as the core of the DeFiChain ecosystem, will be enhanced and improved. The DVM enables interaction with other virtual machines, including the EVM, and provides additional features such as decentralized exchanges (DEX) and governance models.

These technical innovations could have a positive impact on the perception and adoption of DeFiChain. If this increases the demand for DeFiChain, it could have a positive effect on the price. It will be exciting to see how these developments will affect the future of DeFiChain.

DMC indices by BTC Bacon, member of the DeFiChain community

Another exciting topic being discussed in our community is the idea of introducing DMC indices. This idea was proposed by BTC Bacon, an active member of our community. But what exactly are DMC indexes and why might they be relevant to DeFiChain?

The idea behind DMC indices is to give investors an easy way to invest in a broader range of cryptocurrencies running on DeFiChain. Instead of having to buy individual coins, investors could simply buy a DMC index that consists of several different coins.

BTC Bacon suggests several possible DMC indices, including:

  • DMCI3 - TOP3 (BTC60/ETH30/DFI10)

  • DMCI3 DEFI - TOP3 invested in liquidity mining.

  • DMCI10 - TOP 10 Coins on DMC

These DMC indices could be flexible in their composition and adjusted to investors' needs and preferences. They could also help diversify risk as investors would invest in a group of coins rather than focusing their money on one or two.

To keep the percentages of each coin in the DMC indices accurate, these indices would need to be managed. This could be done through automated processes or an organization or individual could be tasked with managing the DMC indices.

The introduction of DMC indices could have a positive impact on the DeFiChain and its value. They could help attract more investors and increase the use of the DeFiChain. They could also allow investors to invest more effectively in DeFiChain projects and better diversify their investments.

It remains to be seen how this idea will be received in the community and whether DMC indices will actually be introduced. But the discussion around this idea shows that there are many innovative and exciting ideas in our community that have the potential to move DeFiChain forward.

OpenDApps v1.0.2 Beta - The next stage on the DMC

It's time to talk about the latest developments in OpenDApps, an important application running on the DeFi MetaChain (DMC). The new version, OpenDApps v1.0.2 Beta, has been released and is available on DMC's test network. In addition to fixing some bugs found during the deployment on DMC, improvements and new features have also been added.

Here are some of the next steps OpenDApps plans to take regarding the DMC:

  • Revise the testing guide to include DMC: This will make it easier for users to test and understand DMC specific features.

  • Creating documentation and blog posts about OpenDApps concepts and features: this content will allow the community to dive deeper into understanding the capabilities OpenDApps offers.

  • Creation of tutorials on how to use the platform using DMC: These tutorials will provide concrete guidance to users on how to use the platform effectively.

  • Further development of services before moving to the main network: OpenDApps plans to continue improving and expanding its services before moving them to the main DMC network.

One particularly exciting aspect of the latest version of OpenDApps is the integration of VanillaSwap DEX directly into the app. This means that users can create a token, configure it, and add liquidity to the DEX without any programming knowledge. This is a significant simplification and democratization of the process that will allow many more users to participate in the DeFi economy.

I can tell you first hand that the process is smooth and user friendly. I created my own token myself called "InTheMarket" and was impressed with how straightforward the entire process was.

For those who are curious about OpenDApps and want to learn more or try it out, visit the OpenDApps-Website and the Cloud Testnet dApp. You can also follow their Official Twitter-Account and join the Telegram-Group to stay updated and share feedback.

These are exciting times for DeFiChain and DMC development, and OpenDApps is an important part of that. Stay tuned for more updates!
