Welcome to a new edition of the InTheMarket newsletter! There are exciting news and developments in the world of DeFiChain. Let's get started right away!

Umfrage zum MetaChain-Wissen

I recently launched a Twitter poll to find out how familiar you already are with the DeFiMetaChain. The results were informative and clearly showed that there is still a lot of room for improvement.

How was it evaluated?

In the survey, I asked you to rate your knowledge of MetaChain on a scale of 1 to 10. The 1 stood for beginner and the 10 for expert knowledge on the level of Uzyn, one of the co-founders and core developers of DeFiChain.

The results are in!

The majority of participants rated their knowledge in the 2 to 4 range, which shows that there are still many in our community who are not fully familiar with MetaChain.

What's next?

These results are an important indication that we need to do more educational work as a community. I encourage each of you, especially those with deep understanding of MetaChain, to create educational content such as threads or videos.

This survey serves not only as a wake-up call, but also as an opportunity. It shows that a stronger focus on education and understanding of MetaChain is needed. So let's all get actively involved in sharing this knowledge and strengthening our community.

Update of the DeFiChain Light Wallet

The DeFiChain Light Wallet has recently received several important updates. These changes are particularly relevant in the context of the upcoming MetaChain launch and offer new features that improve the user experience:

1. Address book support for MetaChain (EVM): The wallet's address book now supports MetaChain addresses, which simplifies the management of these addresses.

2. New conversion feature: Users can now convert their native DFI tokens into DFI tokens for MetaChain (EVM).

3. UI enhancements for EVM support: The user interface has been adapted to seamlessly integrate EVM functions

4. Support for custom EVM RPC URL: This feature allows users to enter a custom EVM RPC URL for advanced use cases.

   These updates are intended to enhance the usability of Light Wallet with regard to MetaChain and its specific requirements.

Release of DeFiChain 4.0.0 RC2

After the RC1 version of DeFiChain ran stably for more than a week, the RC2 version has now been released. This new version focuses on performance optimisations and in particular offers significant improvements in synchronisation speed. Due to changes in the EVM memory, a re-indexing is required for RC2. Further details and download links can be found in the official release notes on GitHub.

This is an important step for the DeFiChain community as it further improves the performance and usability of the platform. As always, constructive feedback and active participation in testing the new version is highly appreciated.

VanillaSwap successfully implemented on Testnet RC2

Good news from the DeFiChain ecosystem: VanillaSwap has been successfully implemented on Testnet RC2. This is a significant milestone on the way to the mainnet launch. The developers are calling for active participation in the tests.

A special focus is currently on the Liquidity Locker. Targeted testing and feedback in this area is needed to ensure that everything works as planned. This testing phase is crucial for VanillaSwap to launch smoothly on the mainnet. The VanillaSwap team hopes for broad support from the community in this important development step.

DeFiChain Community X Space today at 8pm CET (German)
