Welcome to a new edition of the InTheMarket newsletter! There are exciting news and developments in the world of DeFiChain. Let's get started right away!

InTheMarket newsletter now every 2 weeks

InTheMarket will adjust its publication frequency and will now be published every two weeks. This is a direct result of my increased involvement with DMC Universe, which is currently taking up a lot of my time. Thank you for your understanding!

Token Page for MetaChain

  • Token page is now live: Users can now add all MetaChain tokens to their MetaMask wallets in just five seconds. The token addresses have been verified multiple times to ensure security. The page will be continuously updated and new tokens will be added gradually. Add tokens: DMC Universe token page.

  • First giveaway launched: Participants have the chance to win a unique DMCU Legacy Sweater designed by Aen. To enter, all they need to do is subscribe to the DMC Universe newsletter, retweet the relevant tweet and tag two friends in the comments. Winners will be selected at Christmas. First NFT project on DeFiChain

An exciting new NFT project on DeFiChain has been announced, developed by Lars Berge. The project, called "CryptoOctos", brings a new dimension to the world of NFTs on DeFiChain:

  1. Features and rarity: CryptoOctos will have different features and rarity levels, making them particularly interesting for collectors and enthusiasts of NFTs.

  2. Farmability: The NFTs will be farmable, allowing for an additional layer of interactivity and engagement with the digital assets.

  3. Real use case: These NFTs are not just collectibles, they also have a practical use. Owners of CryptoOctos will be able to enjoy free transactions on the upcoming OctoDeFi project.

  4. Integration with DeFiChain: The team is already working on implementing their smart contracts on MetaChain, which forms the technical basis for the project.

MetaChain Activtiy

One week after the launch of MetaChain on DeFiChain, the first activities and developments can be seen. Here is an overview of the key aspects:

  1. Number of accounts: A steady growth in the number of accounts has been observed. This is understandable, as many in the DeFiChain community need a MetaChain address. It will be interesting to see how this develops in the coming days and weeks.

  2. Active accounts: In addition to the total number of accounts, the active accounts are also of interest. The previous peak was 800 active accounts, and in the last two days there were around 600. This activity could increase with the launch of further projects.

  3. Transactions: Transactions peaked yesterday, possibly due to the launch of $VAN. Almost 6,000 transactions were recorded, a number that is sure to increase.

  4. Smart Contracts: There are currently 126 smart contracts implemented on MetaChain. This number continues to rise, with the largest increase being recorded at the start of MetaChain. The current hackathon could increase this number further.

$VAN Token is live!

Good news for you as a fan of VanillaSwap and DeFiChain: Trading with $VAN has now started on Vanillaswap.org! You have the opportunity to swap $VAN for $DFI or $dUSDT. The starting price for $VAN has been set at $0.005.

This step is an important milestone for VanillaSwap and expands the trading offer on DeFiChain. You can now trade $VAN directly on the platform with $DFI or $dUSDT, enhancing the opportunities for investing and trading in the DeFiChain community.

DeFiChain Hackathon in Bangalore

The DeFiChain Hackathon in Bangalore, India, was a great success! With the goal of promoting innovation on DeFiChain, especially at the MetaChain level, developers came together to expand their knowledge and skills. The hackathon offered a total of $25,000 in prize money to reward the creativity and dedication of the participants.

Led by Sinha Swarnabha and Prasanna, developers learned how to build on the MetaChain layer of DeFiChain. This event was a fantastic opportunity to educate and inspire the developer community to build innovative solutions on DeFiChain.
